The steel ball manufacturer interprets the difference between casting ball and rolling forging ball for you

Release time:2021-03-24 Views

Hot rolled steel ball and forged steel ball are formed by pressing and forging round steel. Alloy steel is commonly used. It requires high requirements for raw materials. So far, a large number of ball breaking and rounding caused by unqualified raw materials can not be solved. It is not only good raw materials but also broken, out of circle and wear-resistant. In the process of heat treatment, the hardness of steel balls will be easily broken and hard It is low and wear-resistant.

Compared with the casting ball, the biggest disadvantage of rolling forging ball is that the raw material is cheap to use ordinary steel, but the hardenability is poor. The surface hardness can reach 55-58hrc only, the core hardness is only 25~35hrc, and the wear resistance is not even as good as that of low chromium casting ball (the hardness difference of the core surface of low chromium casting ball is only 2-3 degrees, and 45-48hrc). The rolling forging ball is only wear-resistant on the surface, and it is used in the process of use The more wear-resistant the medium wear, the faster the consumption.

There are also excellent steel materials with small hardness difference on the core surface in the rolling forging ball. The hardenability of this material is better, but it is expensive. The price of raw materials fluctuates around 5000. The market price of finished steel balls is about 6500-7000, but the wear resistance is obviously lower than that of high chromium cast balls which have been quenched by oil.

In the mining industry or in the coal grinding industry, no matter in the way of unit price purchase or contract wear, a large number of practical data show that the advantages of cast steel balls are obviously better than that of rolling and forging balls.

However, the rolling forging ball has high impact toughness, and has obvious advantages in the large diameter semi-automatic mill. Whether it is domestic or foreign, the share of the ball in the semi-automatic mill is more than 90%.

The domestic ball mill industry generally uses cast steel balls, and a small part of them adopt forging balls or rolling balls, while semi-automatic mills are almost all forged balls. Different conditions of the industry and mineral choose different steel balls to show high cost performance, can not simply say that rolling forging ball or casting ball is good.
